When Sophia was 13, her father took his own life. Her chapter of childhood quickly closed, and she was thrust into a harsher reality. In an attempt to cope, she picked up a guitar and started writing songs. What started as a salve to her grief quickly grew into an obsession of perfecting her craft. And not just the music — the business of it, too. Picking up on things like marketing, sales, and product market fit, she loved to tinker with the inputs and outputs that create a business.
She took this knowledge and created a nationally-touring indie folk band called Companion with her identical twin sister, writing songs about grief, healing, and all the life that happens in between.
Her success in the music industry naturally led her into marketing, where she went fully freelance in 2019 as a consultant, helping e-commerce startups grow into multimillion dollar companies. Today she lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, dividing her time between writing music, running her marketing business, and nurturing a cohousing community called the Neighbormune with nine other residents.

After a first license of Architecture in Paris, I set out on a journey to further understand the world that I inhabit, grabbed my rucksack, and hit the road. For more than a year and a half, my home had become mobile, and I became a nomad. Although without a fixed habitat, I said I never felt as much “at home” as I did not possess “home” material.
It was after crossing rivers, seas, and mountains that I decided to return to Europe, and continued my master’s degree at the National School of Architecture in Lisbon.
After obtaining my diploma, I left for Mexico to work for Roth Architecture, which inspired me to continue on this path of neo-vernacular architecture and opened her own atelier.
Today I live between Mexico City and Marrakech, and besides her architecture, I develop Yedder World, a brand that highlights Moroccan vintage, kaftans that have been forgotten.
In 2018, after a first meeting with the Burning man community, Steven Raspah wrote to me: “May the experience make you more yourself and give you proof that anything is possible.”
In this regard, being fully aware of the richness of my country, my co-founder and I created a Moroccan camp in Black Rock City to share its artistic culture but also its nomadic tradition, which we believe could inspire our new way of living as Digital Nomads.

Born and raised in São Paulo, since I remember, I’ve been in love with music. As a teenager, I started learning guitar by myself and immediately connected to something special. After passing by economy, I ended up studying visual arts while taking classes in theater, psychology, and philosophy. During that time, I was part of a band and we decided to create our label since none of the ones we knew were what we were after. That became a production house, label, distributor, and booking agency for independent artists in Brazil.
In 2016, I decided to change my life and went on a trip to Mexico where I ended up living for 5 years. Mexico is where I call home. For 4 years, I worked as a producer, director, and content creator for video game companies. I fell in love with it and moved towards bigger and different productions. During the pandemic, I went to live and work in Costa Rica curating artists and different profiles for the creative residency program and finding talent and producing the ongoing programming. Costa Rica is a very special place for me. I reconnected with many things and lived a life that I’ve always dreamed of. Right now, I’m looking for the next place to call home.
